My stop at Undergrounds for coffee this morning was especially appreciated in light of this morning’s rather crisp weather. Although Hobbs won’t get (thankfully) the dusting, and in some parts of our state, the accumulation of snow that is north and west of us, it is a bit cool. But this is to be expected as Thanksgiving Break approaches and temperatures begin to decline sporadically.
Last week was an especially good time to be a Mustang, especially for parents and alumni visiting our campus in Hobbs. Friday evening we saw our Mustang Women’s Volleyball team blank Langston University 3-0. Following that our Tennis team held their annual all night tennis and pizza festival at the Hobbs H.S. Tennis Complex. Crazy as is sounds, starting at midnight, Coach Paul Baker for the tenth consecutive year conducted continuous tennis matches with intermittent pizza eating until the sun came up the next morning.
