Christmas came early this year at the University of the Southwest. Last Friday we received word from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) that our proposal to offer the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) was approved. This comes on the heels of a very favorable review earlier in the fall that had given us a green light to advertise the program with the stipulation that we were awaiting final approval from HLC before we could enroll students early this spring.

Feeding Our Souls after Chapel Last Week
Last Wednesday in Chapel we were blessed to hear Dr. Kristi Miller from Global Prison Seminaries Foundation. Kristi had a unique story to tell and a great message, and after Jotty Kinney led us in two songs, one of which was a Christmas tune, we settled in to listen to a really good talk.

Preparing for Advent
Last Sunday at church Caryn’s children’s sermon introduced the concept of something kids (and many parents) are reluctant to embrace, the idea of waiting.
